Grading successes were achieved by club members at the BJC Area Grading in Bridgwater, Somerset. Following the huge success of sensei John Cole at the British Masters, four club members travelled with John to the grading.
Both Mike Kateb and Martin Jones were successful in achieving their black belts. Mike started judo 4 years ago and has developed under John Cole's tuition. Martin was a brown belt for 15 years(!) and joined the Torbay Judo club 4 years ago..

Richard Daniels and Alex Edge were attending their first gradings as seniors, having just turned 16. Richard was sufficiently dominant to achieve senior 2nd kyu (blue belt) from his junior green belt grade, with Alex successfully going from junior orange belt to senior green belt.
Sam Vincent also completed his theory exam to achieve his senior green belt.
