|  John Cole (6th Dan), Club sensei, won the under 81kg section of British Masters Championship in High Wycombe in September 2004.
John's road to the title started last September when he prepared for entry to the World Masters Championship in Vienna this June.
He finished fifth in his weight category and seventh in the open weight category, which provided the incentive to have a go at the British Masters.
During a strict training regime building to the tournament, John lost almost four stone.

All the members are very proud of John and impressed with all the hard effort the he has put into to his training over the last year.
John now has his eyes on the World Masters Championship next year in Canada, and is hoping to gain sponsorship for this trip.
John works for Kingfisher (Brixham) Ltd, who are wholesale fish merchants in Paignton. They have backed him all the way in his title bid, for which he is grateful.
